The meal experience features servers presenting the meal in stylish courses that will delight the palate as well as the eye. Period music playing on the antique symphonium and the exquisite table settings create an atmosphere of a bygone era that visitors can enjoy today.
The beautifully designed menu features a layer of flavors skillfully cooked and prepared, including soup, salad, main dish, dessert, and after-dinner drinks.

At Shady Bend Manor, Charles Downing prides in the showmanship and quality of the meal – sure to be a memorable culinary experience worth going out of your way for.
Reservations are required for luncheon, dinner, and high tea options. Because of the intimate dining atmosphere, the maximum serving capacity per meal is 20 people. Reservations are generally available throughout the year, seven days a week.
Special menus for Easter, Mother’s Day and Christmas are created to enhance your holiday celebrations. Contact Mr. Downing for other special menu requests.

Shady Bend Manor House and Garden Tours
Visitors are welcome to tour the Shady Bend Manor House and gardens with advance reservations available daily. Hosted by Mr. Downer, the guided tours are a journey through time and rich in history.
Cost is $5 per person, and includes tea.

Renovations are currently underway to expand the public access at Shady Bend Manor to include overnight bedrooms, master baths, and library.

Directions
Shady Bend Manor is convenienty located in east central Ohio, approximately 100 miles from Cleveland, Columbus, and Pittsburgh; 50 miles from Canton and Zanesville; 70 miles from Marietta and Wheeling; and 85 miles from Mansfield.
From I-77, take Exit 65 for Newcomerstown/Port Washington, onto Route 36 West. After turning onto Route 36 West from the exit, turn left at the first light onto Route 258. Cross the railroad tracks, and bear right onto East State Street. Follow East State Street through Newcomerstown. East State Street will turn into County Road 9. Staying on County Road 9, after crossing the Tuscarawas River, Shady Bend Manor will be about 1.5 miles on the right.
