Small to Middle-Market Growth Companies

3Point focuses on growth opportunities with small to middle-market companies in industries where our Investment Partners have considerable expertise. These include home building products, light manufacturing and the services sector. Geographically, we are not limited by a centralized location within the United States. 3Point takes an organic approach to recognizing and cultivating growth opportunities. We actively pursue add-on acquisitions that may include complementary businesses, competitive businesses, and product line extensions or expansions.

Adding Value

Our Investment Partners have extensive operational backgrounds and are involved in the due diligence process as well as assisting the management team.  While not active in day-to-day company management, we collaborate with management to create operational plans and budgets, to evaluate progress compared to these plans, and to establish future priorities.  By utilizing our operational experience and contacts, we can make meaningful introductions to provide additional sales channels, expanded customer bases and other similar benefits. We are committed to investing in companies in which we can provide this type of added value.

Partnership with Management

3Point strongly believes that people make the difference in the success of a business.  Accordingly, management will have an opportunity to purchase and to earn a meaningful equity position in order to align their interests with those of our Investment Partners.  As our Investment Partners invest substantial personal capital directly into the equity of a portfolio company, we, alongside management, are highly focused and committed to ensuring success and creating additional shareholder value. 

As our Investment Partners are investing their own personal capital into the equity of portfolio companies, the desire for a liquidity event is driven by market timing and other factors instead of being limited to the usual time horizon of typical private equity firms.
